“Breadcat” adorably combines two of our favorite things: bread and cats

Even if you’re not a self-proclaimed cat-lover, you have to admit that it’s super cute when cats tuck their paws under their bodies. When they do this, they essentially look like adorable, furry loaves of bread. If you want proof, then look no purr-ther:

Inspired by the above cat phenomenon, South Korean toy artist Rato Kim brought Breadcat to life. This character is essentially the best of both worlds: part cat and part bread. When you combine these two lovable topics together, what you end up getting is all cuteness.

I myself don’t have a [cat] because I am not ready. But I’d love to get a cat in two years,” Kim wrote on Bored Panda. “The Breadcat is for people like me who don’t have a cat but they would like to have one.

The creator added that designing Breadcat wasn’t all fun and games. In fact, the most difficult part involved choosing the character’s expression – since there are so many different ones to choose from. Yet, in the end, Rato decided to embrace many different looks for Breadcat. “Cats have various expressions,” he explained, “[S]o I chose to show few of them on Breadcats and not to go with only one face.

We think Kim made the right choice:

I mean, just look at how adorable these Breadcats are:

Plus, all of Rato’s toys are handmade, which means that each Breadcat is made with love in his workshop. To learn more, you can visit the artist’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
