Book club alert: Hillary Clinton is writing a collection of personal essays
Grab that box of tissues, friends, because the woman who many wish was president now is about to publish a book of inspirational personal essays. Hillary Clinton‘s publisher, Simon & Schuster, announced today that Clinton is at work on a book due out this year reflecting on the 2016 election and the many quotes she’s collected — and looked to for inspiration and guidance — over decades.
“These are the words I live by,” Clinton said in a statement.
"These quotes have helped me celebrate the good times, laugh at the absurd times, persevere during the hard times, and deepen my appreciation of all life has to offer. I hope by sharing these words and my thoughts about them, the essays will be meaningful for readers."
Since The Day That Shall Not Be Named, Clinton has been keeping a low profile, sticking close to her home in Chappaqua, New York and enjoying time with her family.

She appeared on Inauguration Day in Washington, D.C., wearing an effortlessly chic white pantsuit (but of course) and holding her head high. And she voiced her support for the many Women’s Marches that took place the next day, writing on Twitter, “Scrolling through images of the #womensmarch is awe-inspiring. Hope it brought joy to others as it did to me.”

Now, it seems, she’s ready to rejoin public life. According to the Associated Press, Clinton has once again partnered with the Harry Walker Agency, the speakers bureau through which she has given paid talks in the past. Plus, in addition to her book of essays, her previous title It Takes a Village will be re-released as a picture book.
Is it too early too call this The Year of Hillary?
