Here’s how Bobby Moynihan used “Wonder Woman” to announce he and his wife are expecting
Oh, baby! Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan and his wife, actress Brynn O’Malley, are expecting their first child together. But Moynihan decided to go the less conventional route when sharing this exciting news with the world. Instead of the normal announcement, he took to Instagram and asked a very important question about a very popular movie.
Bobby Moynihan’s Instagram post features a picture of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the current worldwide hit. He tagged director Patty Jenkins (and the actress herself), asking when his unborn daughter would be old enough to watch the movie. He also congratulated both the star and director on a wonderful movie and all their incredible success.
“Hi @PattyJenks. Big fan. Quick question. How soon do you think is appropriate to show my daughter @WonderWomanFilm ? She’s due in July. Thanks for making it easier to be a Dad. What an amazing, beautiful movie. Thanks to you and @gal_gadot.”
We absolutely love the way Bobby Moynihan decided to share the news that he’s going to be a father, and it’s even better that he connected it to Wonder Woman. It’s lovely that Moynihan already understands the importance of strong female role models, and wants to introduce his daughter to them as soon as possible (plus, Wonder Woman is just a great film).
Bobby Moynihan may have left SNL this year, but he’s got plenty of projects coming up. He’ll be starring in the CBS comedy Me, Myself, & I, not to mention taking on the lifelong role of father. Congratulations to the happy couple on the upcoming delivery. Any chance they’ll be naming their daughter Diana?
