Blue Ivy’s all-white look at the Grammys is better than anything we’ve ever worn
When we talk about enviable red carpet fashion, we aren’t usually referring to six-year-olds, but here we are, coveting Blue Ivy’s monochromatic white ensemble at the 2018 Grammys. Blue sat in the front row flanked by her award-winning parents, but let’s put a pin in that for a second to talk about Beyoncé’s Grammy look. Bey owned the front row in a velvet gown while wearing glasses indoors and an over-the-top hat that puts royal fascinators to shame. We don’t know how to describe Beyoncé’s hat other than pointing at it and screaming “YAS!”
Blue Ivy turned out for the awards show because both mom and dad were nominated for an award for Best Rap/Sung Performance on “Family Feud” off Jay-Z’s latest album, but she seemed unfazed by the entire awards show thing and cozied up to her parents in a luxe white robe, tuxedo pants, and silver Mary Janes.
There are so many things we love about these photos. The family’s color-coordinated ensembles. Blue Ivy’s bored disposition. Beyoncé’s freaking hat. We shouldn’t be surprised by Blue Ivy’s sartorial genius, because at last year’s awards show she looked amazing in a bright pink Gucci suit.
On a related note, it appears that black hats are Beyoncé’s new ~thing~. She and Jay attended a pre-Grammys party on January 27th, 2018 in a leather beret, and well, now we have to buy a leather beret.
Nothing but respect for OUR royal family.
