Blue Ivy bid $19,000 at an art auction like it was no big deal, and we bow down

We already know Blue Ivy, the daughter of music superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z, is one fashionable little lady. Just check out the $1,800 Louis Vuitton bag she rocked at the NBA All-Star game on Sunday, February 18th. And let’s not forget the time she told her famous parents not to clap during Camila Cabello’s 2018 Grammys speech.

Needless to say, it’s no surprise the 6-year-old is already trying to outbid adults at art auctions. (Is it okay to be jealous of her? Yeah, we think so.)

Blue Ivy tagged along with Beyoncé and Jay-Z to the second annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 17th, and she was ready to bid. The family was there to watch Queen Bey and her mother-in-law, Gloria Carter, be honored for their humanitarian work. The whole gang, including Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles and her stepfather, Richard Lawson, came dressed to impress, donning Black Panther-inspired looks in honor of the gala’s theme, “From Waco to Wakanda.”

But the star of the show was definitely Blue Ivy. She initially bid $17,000 on an acrylic painting of Sidney Poitier, after which Jay-Z jokingly tries to pull her paddle away. When another bidder raised her $18,000, she proved she wasn’t there to play — and countered with a whopping $19,000.

Sadly, Blue Ivy lost out on the painting to a $20,000 bid from Tyler Perry, according to Time.

Don’t worry, though. She handily won the next item, a piece of art made from deconstructed law and medical books, after bidding a cool $10,000.
