Blue Bell is back and here’s the first flavor it’s rolling out
Back in April, we got some sad news when Blue Bell Creameries announced a massive recall and suspension of production after a listeria outbreak linked to their ice cream. People were upset, and we totally get why. Blue Bell ice cream is nothing short of delicious. Which is why today we are thrilled to learn that Blue Bell is making a comeback!
Yes, ice cream fans, you can soon enjoy Blue Bell’s delightful creamy frozen goodness once again. The company announced today that on August 31st, they will be returning to select stores in Texas (Brenham, Austin, and Houston) and Alabama (Birmingham and Montgomery). From there, you’ll start seeing it in Oklahoma, and eventually (fingers crossed) across the country. They have five phases mapped out at this time, with ice cream going up on shelves in a total of 15 states.
But that’s not all they had to say!
They also announced their first flavor to hit stores: Homemade Vanilla.
It’s simple, it’s classic, it’s delicious — the perfect way to return to both the freezer aisle and our hearts. The company is also planning to announce another flavor for the roll-out soon, but right now we’re too busy daydreaming about enjoying some vanilla ice cream as summer winds down.
Welcome back, Blue Bell. We’ve missed you!
