Super talented Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani shared the stage again at Obama’s State Dinner, which is so sweet
While we’re loving Miley on The Voice, we also can’t wait to have our girl Gwen back next season. Gwen Stefani has become an integral part of the show — and part of that is because she found a nice little love connection with Blake Shelton. After both were serving as coaches and judges, they fell in love.
Their romance is equal parts likely (they’re both musicians!) and equal parts unlikely (their genres are totally different, and it’s intriguing that they even crossed paths!) But, genre aside, they’ve proved a couple times that they can share the stage and create beautiful music together.
The two paired up for Obama’s (final) State Dinner, and the performance they gave was just lovely.

By the sounds of it, the duet was a bit impromptu. Stefani was doing her own set, and then decided to pull Shelton on stage with her near the end. The song they’re singing is Shelton’s own “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which they already had some practice with — they performed it earlier this year on the last season of The Voice.

They had quite an audience at the dinner — besides the POTUS and the FLOTUS, they performed for celebrities like Rachael Ray, Mario Batali, and Frank Ocean. Chance The Rapper was also there, and was pretty much blown away.
Gwen Stefani just sang to me at the White House. And pointed at me. Bro. I'm dead.

Of course, as you can see, Stefani looked as gorgeous as ever for the big event.
So all in all, it seems like it was a bonus night for everyone — especially Gwen!
