Blake Lively thanked all the women who made her Golden Globes dress by hand — we want more of this
We’ve already raved about how glamorous Blake Lively looked at the 2017 Golden Globes — and about how she graciously thanked her stylists for helping her look so beautiful. Now, the actress has turned her attention to the women who made her Golden Globes dress.
Her black velvet, custom Atelier Versace dress had 24-karat gold chain mail detailing around the neck and arms, as well as on some unexpected, but totally adorable pockets that gave Lively’s classic look some edge. Yahoo Style reported that a Versace representative said it took 300 hours to make Lively’s dress.
With that in mind, we are so pleased that Lively gave a shout-out to the women who were responsible for building this beautiful creation.

As the caption for the photo of the women working diligently to create the chain mail, Lively wrote:
"It takes a village. Thank you ladies. I remember hand gluing plastic stones onto my prom dress. And I was (and still am) so proud of it. Can't believe this is what goes into a dress I get to wear now. 😊so grateful."
Lively’s comments show how far she has come from those high school days while also acknowledging — and showing! — the care that the employees of Versace took to make this stunning dress.
Just two hours before this post, she also shared a pic of her on the Globes red carpet thanking everyone who had helped put her look together.

And it was reminiscent of the getting ready photo she shared on January 8th.

Lively was lovely on the red carpet as she accompanied her nominated husband Ryan Reynolds at the Golden Globes. And she has been lovely on social media lately, recognizing the people behind-the-scenes who usually get overlooked despite their hard work.
Now, can Lively share a throwback pic of her prom dress please??
