It’s Ryan Reynolds’ birthday, and Blake Lively posted the most perfect pic imaginable
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are definitely #relationshipgoals. Whether they’re trolling each other on Instagram or being cute on the red carpet, their one of our all-time favorite duos. And as if we needed any more reason to love them, Lively just shared that the two celebrated Reynolds’ birthday by…exercising their right to vote.
Reynolds turned 42 today, October 23rd, and Lively took to Instagram to celebrate her husband. In past years, the A Simple Favor actress has been known to tease Reynolds on his birthday, but this year’s post was more sincere—and patriotic. With the 2018 midterm elections just three weeks away, Lively and Reynolds decided to use the occasion to cast their ballots early.
Lively captured the moment in a selfie of the pair smiling and holding up their (sealed) absentee ballots, with a bunch of balloons visible in the background.
"Happy birthday to 2018's Sexiest Voter Alive @vancityreynolds," she captioned her post. She added the hashtags "#justvoted" and "#absenteeballot party!"
This is definitely a commendable way to spend your birthday.

Reynolds shared a similar picture to his own Insta account.
"What a birthday! I just smoked a huge bowl of early voting," he captioned his own post.
On Twitter, he wrote that he had “a new favorite four-letter word.”
Best birthday ever ever. I have a new favorite four letter word. #JustVoted @WhenWeAllVote pic.twitter.com/rhc5CZqdk9

Reynolds and Lively aren’t the only celebrities gearing up for election season. Taylor Swift recently urged her fans to participate in early voting with an Instagram post complete with festive red, white, and blue toenails.
It seems like Reynolds’ birthday was a day well spent. If you want to take a page out of his book and vote early, you can check to see if and when your state offers early voting at vote.org.
Happy birthday to Reynolds, and don’t forget to vote in the midterms on November 6th!
