Blake Lively is making us feel nostalgic about ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’
It’s been over a decade since Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera gave us all some serious squad goals in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, even though it feels like yesterday. The sweet story about female friendship and, well, traveling pants will always be one of our faves, and it looks like we’re not alone. Blake Lively posted a pic yesterday that is making us all feel very 2005.
That’s right! Bridget and Tibby are still kicking it.
Of course, all the ladies have remained close friends since filming the movie in 2005. In 2013, America Ferrera told EW that being co-stars was really just the beginning of a really meaningful friendship.
“We’ve been part of each other’s lives in really meaningful ways that go beyond making a movie together,” she said. “We almost forget that we made a movie together because our friendship was created from so many other experiences.”
Those experiences include the major milestones of their adults lives, including weddings, with America speaking at Amber’s and everyone attending each other’s ceremonies. They also support each other’s work, turning up at premieres to back up their girls. And that’s not all! Alexis, Amber, and America are actually godmothers to Blake’s daughter, James!
In case that’s not enough to give you endless friendship goals, check out Amber Tamblyn’s writer bio on Black Lively’s website, Preserve:
“She can also be see sleeping over at Blake’s house and getting royally irritated at being woken up at 7am to try a batch of cupcakes Blake just made.”
Sorry, Amber, but that sounds kind of amazing. Our only question is, can we get invited to the next hang session, please?
