Blake Lively’s latest movie has stopped filming — but don’t freak out, she’s going to be okay

We have some scary news to report, but don’t freak out: Blake Lively’s latest movie, The Rhythm Section, has stopped filming due to an injury she received on set. Fortunately, it wasn’t too serious, and it sounds like she’s going to be okay! The actress and mom hurt her hand on the set of her new spy thriller, to the point where the cast and crew had to temporarily stop production.

Blake Lively hurt her hand while filming an action sequence in The Rhythm Section.

We don’t know the details just yet. The Hollywood Reporter reported that Paramount, Global Road, and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli were not specific about how the injury occurred. They announced that “filming has been temporarily suspended,” but “production will resume as possible.”

Understandably, the studio won’t say too much more about what happened on the set of The Rhythm Sectionan adaptation of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick novels that stars Lively as woman seeking answers when her family is killed in a plane crash. It’s supposed to be released in February 2019.

We’re so relieved to know the injury isn’t serious enough to affect Lively for too long, or throw off filming altogether. But it was enough to pause production, and that’s not a great sign.

But the most important thing, of course, is that Blake Lively is okay, and that no one else on set sustained injuries during filming.

Wishing Blake a speedy recovery, and for The Rhythm Section production to resume ASAP!
