Blake Lively’s “Harry Potter” manicure is a fangirl dream

Ever since Gossip Girl, Blake Lively has been a fashion icon. On and off screen she has wowed us time and time again with her bold and beautiful looks.

But she has never before made a choice that is quite so, shall we say, magical.

A few days ago, she posted her latest manicure to her Instagram page. From a distance, the manicure may look somewhat plain (small pink triangles on otherwise nude nails). But the detail in her accent nail is where her true power lies.

That’s right. She’s not only a great actress and women’s advocate, but she’s also a proud fan of Harry Potter who gets Deathly Hallows symbols painted into her manicures. Her combination of fashion meets fandom is almost as powerful as the combination of the Invisibility Cloak, Elder Wand, and Resurrection stone themselves. If we could “love” this post 1,000 times, we totally would.

There’s a good chance Blake’s choice in nails is inspired by this week’s exciting grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. Potterheads (famous and non-famous alike) everywhere have been going crazy to get into some west coast Hogsmeade adventures.

Her perfect caption, “I solemnly swear I am up to no good,” captures her own playfulness as much as her love for Harry Potter. Basically, we already wanted to be her friend, but now we want to be best friends.
