The latest “Black Panther” trailer is the adrenaline rush you need to get through the day
Drop whatever your doing because you need to watch the new Black Panther trailer IMMEDIATELY.
In the this first trailer, Martin Freeman’s C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross may have described Wakanda as “a third world country” known for “textiles, shepherds, cool outfits.” Not exactly, Ross. In this new trailer we get an in-depth look at the real Wakanda, which may be the most technologically savvy country in the world. If there’s one thing that’s clear — to Ross and us — it’s that we haven’t seen anything yet.
T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) may be returning home as the new king of Wakanda, but he has a tough road ahead of him as he faces threats from multiple sides. Outlaw Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) is returning to make a claim for the throne, teaming up with arms dealer Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), who not only wants to exploit Wakanda but wants to take T’Challa down.
With threats coming in on all sides, it’s a good thing T’Challa is armed with some serious allies in the Dora Milaje, the all-female Wakanda special forces.

While the majority of the trailer focuses on Wakanda’s technology as well as T’Challa preparing to take on Killmonger, it’s very clear that Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira) are going to be crucial allies to the Wakandan king. As the head of Dora Milaje, Okoye is an intel chief who pulls no punches to protect Wakanda from its ongoing threats. Meanwhile as an undercover spy and former lover of T’Challa, Nakia serves as both a military operative and friend to the conflicted Black Panther.
It’s hard to believe we have to wait until February 9th to see the Ryan Coogler-directed epic. Rounding out the star-studded cast are Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Sterling K. Brown.
It’s safe to say we already have our tickets ready.
