Marvel just dropped some new “Black Panther” posters, and Wakanda is *lit*
When the first trailer and poster for Marvel’s highly anticipated upcoming Black Panther were released last month, we knew we were in for one of the best movies of 2018. But today Marvel turned our hype up to an 11 with the release of gorgeous new character posters that give us a glimpse of the star-studded cast in all its glory.
Chadwick Boseman stars as the titular King T’Challa who returns home to Wakanda and must confront two enemies — Michael B. Jordan’s Kilmonger, an exile looking to overthrow T’Challa who teams up with arms dealer Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), who is looking to exploit Wakanda’s advanced technology. This forces T’Challa to team up with Wakanda’s women-run special force division (!!!) and CIA agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) to prevent the destruction of Wakanda —and potentially the world.
Yep, the Ryan Coogler-directed film is going to be *that* epic.
The character posters not only give you a sense of each character but also an overall glimpse at the tone of the film, with each poster boasting a personalized character tagline and the actors declaring, “Wakanda forever.”
