We just got a close-up look at Black Panther from the new Captain America movie
Meet the character who made history. The first black comic book superhero will be making his big-screen debut in Captain America: Civil War next year, and Entertainment Weekly just released a photo of the character in full superhero get-up.
Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 in July 1966, and is a prince from the fictional African nation of Wakanda. In the film, he’s smack dab in the middle of the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man, and his allegiance is constantly shifting. Chadwick Boseman, who plays the iconic character, explains:

Ugh, we just can’t wait until we get to see all of these superheroes in action. While Black Panther will be getting his own movie in 2018, we’ll get our first taste of his awesomeness when Captain America is released on May 6th. Mark your calendars.
