“Black Panther” just released the best scene from the movie online, as if you need more reason to get pumped
I was lucky enough to be in Hall H for the Marvel Panel at Comic-Con this past year, and for the last 192 days I have been thinking about one scene I saw up on the big screens, and one scene alone. It’s a scene that caused all 6,000+ fans in the Hall with me to literally ERRUPT into screams and cheers, and it was so electric, I maybe started crying (lol, I did). During the panel, Marvel showed us an extended scene from Black Panther, and guess what! This scene, the same scene that I’ve been thinking about for 192 DAYS, is now online and you can watch it, too — a solid two weeks before the movie even hits theaters.
Avoiding all spoilers for the movie (because spoilers are bad, friends), our heroes — T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Deputy Task Force Commander of the Joint Counterterrorism Center Evert Ross (Martin Freeman) — find themselves in a casino, squaring off against Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), aka one of the bad guys from Avengers: Age Of Ultron (the one who lost his arm, remember?). No need to know why they’re here, or what they’re trying to secure, because all that really matters is that a fight breaks out, and suddenly Nakia and Okoye — two members of Wakanda’s all-female Dora Milaje secret service, hell yes — are ready for battle.
You should really just watch the scene in full to experience the glory that is Black Panther, but here’s just a tease: Okoye throws her wig at a bad guy before stabbing him with a giant spear, and Nakia takes off her high-heel and slashes a guy with it. Too late to secure Black Panther a spot at the 2018 Oscars for Best Picture?

Considering this is just a minute of Black Panther, you know the other 134 minutes of it are going to be pretty ?. Marvel’s latest hits theaters on February 16th.
