Remember that hilarious celeb-shot from this year’s Academy Awards? Well, thanks to technology — now, you can officially tell your friends that YOU WERE THERE, too!

The Astronaut Selfie:
The Seattle-based Planetary Resources recently completed a $1 million fundraising campaign with the goal of launching your selfies into space.  With the use of a super-powerful telescope called the Arkyd, users can project their personal pictures into the atmosphere, and have their photo displayed like a hovering star above the planet. At least, that’s what the Arkyd’s Kickstarter page suggests. We’ll have to wait and see how that selfie start-up pans out.
