These 2-minute candy commercials are legitimately the scariest thing you’ll see this Halloween season

If you tuned in to American Horror Story this week, you probably found yourself watching a new kind of horror story (and no, we’re not talking about Lena Dunham’s wig + accent in Episode 7). Over the past few days, Fox channels have been airing longer commercials not really aimed to sell you anything. Rather, they want you to freak you TF out.

This year, Mars candies and Fox have teamed up to bring you “bite-sized” horror shorts, which are a lot more TRICK than they are TREAT. Each commercial is long, clocking in at two minutes, and we don’t even get to see any candy. Rather, we’ve got a girl getting stuck between floors in an elevator, and a kid who meets his own terrifying doppelgänger, and undead motorcyclists.

According to Ad Week, all the shorts were written by up and coming horror directors, and judging from these two minute shorts, anything they make that is 90+ minutes will absolutely terrify us. A brand new Snickers spot aired during American Horror Story, and everyone was like “shut it down.” (You can watch the video here.)

Supposedly, there are 12 shorts in total, and seeing as how we’ve still got 13 more days until Halloween…well, brace yourselves for a few more terrifying commercials during your favorite Fox shows.
