Bindi Irwin paid the sweetest tribute to her dad for Steve Irwin Day
On Steve Irwin Day, Bindi Irwin shared a touching tribute to Steve Irwin — her father, the late great Crocodile Hunter.
Although Steve Irwin, who passed away in September 2006, is probably best known for being so dang charming on television, he was more than a TV personality. He televised messages of treating all living creatures with kindness and respect, and backed up his words by doing a great deal for animals and the environment in the real world. And clearly, his compassion and generosity was passed onto Bindi Irwin!
Bindi shared an adorable picture of them on Instagram, along with a caption that definitely made us tear up.

"Today we remember all that Dad achieved for wildlife and wild places around the world. He taught me that we must all treat animals the way we wish to be treated. I think that his advice applies to both animals and people. In order to protect our planet, we must first learn to be kind in every part of life."
She went on to reiterate the importance of kindness across the board, that we should be kind to each other, to all sorts of wildlife, and our planet at large. And it’s an amazing message.
