FINALLY: ‘Billy on the Street’ gives us the Thanksgiving parade we’ve all secretly been wishing for

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a timeless holiday tradition. No matter how young or old you are, there’s nothing like seeing a giant Snoopy balloon fly high above the streets of New York City! But now, Macy’s better watch its back, because Billy Eichner is moving in on its parade turf, and this is actually a right out of our wildest dreams. That Snoopy balloon is so yesterday; a giant Mila Kunis balloon is where it’s at.

For the Thanksgiving episode of Billy On The Street, he’s enlisted the help of Katie Couric to announce the first ever (and hopefully annual) “Billy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” While Macy’s parade might be full of balloons, floats, and shortened Broadway musical numbers, Billy’s is full of Maggie Gyllenhaal. Because you know it’s Christmas when Maggie Gyllenhaal comes to town! If that’s not enough, there’s a group of marching publicists and an incredible float celebrating the United States… of Tara.

There’s also the Mark Ruffalo float, celebrating all things Mark Ruffalo, because that’s something that should become a parade staple across the board. The only downside is that this parade is only about 6 minutes long, while Macy’s carries on for roughly three hours. Never too early to start thinking about how to go bigger and better for the 2nd Annual Billy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Check out Eichner and Couric’s delightful parade below, and if it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, then it’s beginning to look a lot like Sean Penn. Ah, ’tis the season, you guys!
