Billy Eichner’s Valentine was Chipotle and we’re like, SAME

Valentine’s Day is a weird holiday. Those of us who are in relationships feel pressure to make the day super special and memorable while the rest of us just try to go about our daily routines as usual while scrolling through endless romantic social media posts. So, Billy on the Street and Difficult People star Billy Eichner decided to go a different route this year by calling attention to a special place that has captured his heart: Chipotle. And we couldn’t relate more.

Along with a photo of himself walking out of the heavenly Chipotle, he wrote, “I had such an amazing Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend is so lucky.”

Hahahah. Yes.

But, that’s not the only person, place, or thing he showed love for that day. Earlier, he Insta’d that he found “the one” — an enormous statue of a hippopotamus.

Yasssss, Billy.

This isn’t the first time Eichner has shared something relatable about singledom. In March of last year, he tweeted, “I’m technically single but a more accurate status would be ‘Watches The People vs OJ Simpson Constantly.’” Lololol.

And he also said in an interview back in 2012 with Queerty that he, like us, is always exhausted and agitated and therefore probably won’t be a very good mate anyway.

“I don’t think I’d be a very good boyfriend right now. I’m either yelling at people on the street or I’m very tired and irritable. I’m protecting someone by staying single.”

But, really, Billy said in a recent interview with New York Magazine that he is ready for a real commitment. “But in terms of real dating,” Billy said, “that only started to be something I focused on in the past few years because the rest of my life started to take shape. Now I feel like I’m ready for that sort of thing.”

In the meantime, we’re loving these Instagram posts. Keep it up, Billy!
