Ben Schwartz and Billy Crystal will play BFFs in their new movie, and we love these unlikely pals
Finally, a movie title we can all relate to: We Are Unsatisfied. Because, sadly, we aren’t BFFs with the pair at the center of the film, Ben Schwartz and Billy Crystal — whose casting was revealed by Deadline.
For now, we’ll just have to deal with living vicariously through Schwartz and Crystal’s characters in the upcoming comedy.
*SIGH*
The movie was written by Peter Hoare (Kevin Can Wait) and will be directed by newcomer Matt Ratner. We don’t know much about it yet, because it’s still early days, but Deadline tells us a little about what to expect:
"The film follows the unlikely friendship between a struggling L.A. comedian (Schwartz) who’s forced to move back home to Long Island and finds an unlikely kindred spirit in his alcoholic dermatologist (Crystal)."
The film will begin production next month in New York — so Billy Crystal or Ben Schwartz fans in the Tri-state area should be on the lookout, ’cause we’re going to need some social media deets when this starts filming.
Obviously everybody on Earth is familiar with Billy Crystal because, hello, he’s legendary! Miracle Max in The Princess Bride? Classic!
And who doesn’t love Ben Schwartz, especially as Jean-Ralphio in Parks and Rec?? EXACTLY.
Which is to say, Ben Schwartz and Billy Crystal sound like a winning recipe to us! In fact, the pair might already be our new, favorite dynamic duo, so we really can’t wait to see them take to the screen.
In the meantime, we’ll be keeping an eye out for a release date. (And hopefully it’ll come out sooner, rather than later.)
