Billy Bush says “enough is enough” when it comes to Trump’s absurd tape denial
Former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush has been back in the news this week after he published a New York Times op-ed confirming that — of course — that was Donald Trump’s voice in the infamous Access Hollywood tape. And last night, December 4th, Bush accused Trump of playing with women’s lives during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Specifically, Bush argued that Trump’s recent (ridiculous) claim that the tape may have been doctored disregards the well-being of the many women who have come forward with claims of sexual misconduct against him.
"Last week he [Trump] came out saying 'that's not my voice on the tape.' Like I said [...] you can't say that — that is your voice. I was there, you were there, that's your voice on the tape. [...] Then you got 20 women at the time — I don't know what the exact number is because there is more — but 20 women who used their names. All of these women came out with their names and told their detailed accounts. So when he said this, it infuriated me on the personal front and then I ended up Googling and I read an article with all of these women's accounts...and I say you're reopening wounds on them too. Enough's enough. Stop playing around with people's lives.

Bush’s comments hark back to his op-ed, in which he wrote, “I can only imagine how it [Trump’s denial] has reopened the wounds of the women who came forward with their stories about him, and did not receive enough attention. This country is currently trying to reconcile itself to years of power abuse and sexual misconduct. Its leader is wantonly poking the bear.”
We’re in complete agreement with Bush on this front. Trump’s denial is not only absurd — it’s callous, and it shows zero remorse or reflection regarding his own alleged misconduct. We’re reminded of Fox News anchor Neil Cavoto’s recent angry plea to the POTUS: “Last time I checked you are the President of the United States. Why don’t you act like it?”
