Billie Lourd’s stepfather posted the kindest tribute to Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, and we’re so very moved
By now, basically everyone has heard about the tragic passing of the legendary Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Our hearts have been heavy this week as we’ve said goodbye. Words of solace and love have poured out from celebrities and fans alike, and now, Billie Lourd’s stepfather, Bruce Bozzi, posted a tribute to the stars.
For those who don’t know, Scream Queens actress Billie Lourd is Carrie Fisher’s only child. Bruce Bozzi is married to Billie’s father, Bryan Lourd, and had known Billie’s mother and grandmother for years. This also means he’s been a big part of 24-year-old Billie’s life.
And he just sent these incredibly beautiful words to his stepdaughter:
"it's an honor to be your Stepfather. [...] So...as Carrie said to me years ago "I'm a good stepmother" I promise I will always be & the strength of these women live so vibrantly in you. I've been lucky enough to see this for a decade! Many decades to come.....heaven just got a shit load more fun!!!!
This touching, funny tribute sounds exactly like the kind of thing Carrie Fisher would have adored. We can’t even begin to imagine what Billie must be going through this week, and we’re so incredibly glad that she has the support of her father and stepdad during this incredibly difficult time.
Billie, please know that your mother and grandmother will never be forgotten, and we’re sending so very much love your way today.
