Bill Gates revealed his biggest extravagance, and we’re on board

When you’re worth billions — and we mean billions — what do you spend your money on? It’s a good question, which is why we’re glad Ellen DeGeneres asked it when she interviewed Bill Gates on a recent episode of her show.
Gates is known best as the founder of Microsoft. He’s one of the richest men alive (recently dethroned from first place by Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon) and has a net worth of 91.5 billion dollars. These days, Gates is focusing less on technology and more on philanthropy, spending his time running the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which tackles global healthcare for children (among other very important issues).
We’ve heard rumors about Bill Gates’ home, which overlooks Lake Washington. Named Xanadu 2.0, it even has a pool with an underground music system and a reception hall that can comfortably host 200 guests, according to Business Insider.
But Gates revealed more to Ellen, and we’re all ears.

"In terms of crazy things, we have a trampoline room in our house," Gates admitted. "The kids love it. Indoor trampoline, I recommend it."
Gates also said he’s not really an extravagant guy in general but did admit that he owns a Porsche and a plane, calling them “a huge indulgence.”
And while it might be easy to begrudge a guy rich enough to have an entire trampoline room in his home, mostly the interview on Ellen revealed how humble a person he is and how committed he is to helping others with his fortune.
Now excuse us while we indulge in some trampoline-related day dreams.
