Bill Clinton whispered “that’s my girl” to Hillary during her speech, we’re not crying YOU’RE crying

Emotions have been running high across the United States since Donald Trump became our president-elect, including (and likely most of all) at his rival Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters. So when Bill Clinton whispered “that’s my girl” during Hillary’s concession speech on Tuesday, we all shed a tear — because yup, that’s our girl. And we’re damn proud of her.

As Hillary was addressing an audience of campaign staffers — many of them young and just starting out in public life — at the New Yorker Hotel yesterday morning, she told them to remain hopeful in the face of her defeat, and to hold tight to their dreams of working in public service.

As Hillary was wrapping up that inspiring part of her speech, Bill, holding back tears behind her, mouthed the words “that’s my girl.”
