The Big Little Lies cast saw Shailene Woodley’s new movie together, because they’re forever friendship goals
The cast of Big Little Lies is back at it again, providing even more evidence that they’re the most supportive women on the planet — both in real life and on Instagram. But while their Instagrams are full of heart emoji comments, FOMO-inducing behind-the-scenes pics and, photos of themselves “feeling the Dern,” they also use their social media accounts to support on another in their other projects.
This past weekend, Shailene Woodley’s new film Adrift opened in theaters and naturally, her BLL co-stars were on hand to support the film. Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern accompanied Woodley to a showing of the film, posting rave reviews for their co-star and her film on their Instagram pages, accompanied by the same photo of the three holding ticket stubs while Woodley gives the camera a thumbs up.
Kravitz told fans to “Runnnnnnn, don’t walk” to see the film, while Dern called the film “amazing.” Meanwhile, Witherspoon posted a Roger Ebert-worthy review of the movie, recounting her entire experience watching the “must see” film.
"What a night at the movies ! @adriftmovie Blew me away!! Seeing this incredible true story , i was on the edge of my seat, cheering on @shailenewoodley & @mrsamclaflin who are stuck adrift on a sailboat in the Pacific Ocean. Shailene is outstanding in a rare performance of woman vs. nature that is not to be missed. You must see this movie !!"

Clearly feeling the love from her co-stars, Woodley took to Instagram show her love for her co-stars, writing, “WHAT TRUE SUPPORT AND SISTERHOOD LOOKS LIKE. i feel so shown up for.”
They may not have traveling pants but they did partake in a (self-defense) murder together, so this sisterhood is very much alive and well.
Witherspoon, Dern, Woodley, and Kravitz are currently filming Season 2 of Big Little Lies — alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep!!! — which is slated to return to HBO in 2019.
