A new pic from Big Little Lies Season 2 shows Reese Witherspoon literally hurling ice cream at Meryl Streep
Filming for Season 2 of Big Little Lies is well underway, and from the looks of it, things are getting heated. Considering Season 1 was based on a book, we don’t technically know much about where Season 2 will take us—until now. On Tuesday, July 31st, Reese Witherspoon was spotted furiously throwing an ice cream cone at Meryl Streep while shooting a scene in Los Angeles…and YIKES.
As far as we know, Streep is playing Perry’s (aka Alexander Skarsgard’s) mother, Mary Louise Wright, who arrives in Monterey “concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren following her son Perry’s death.” In the first official photos of Big Little Lies, Streep’s character seems to bond with Nicole Kidman’s Celeste. But according to the photos, something clearly goes down between Mary Louise and Witherspoon’s Madeline Martha Mackenzie.
Just look at Witherspoon’s face as she pulls her arm back to throw that cone.

The good news is that we don’t have to wonder what happens next. The Legally Blonde star took to Twitter to confirm that, yes, Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep will definitely be pelted with ice cream.
Can the 2019 premiere come sooner, please?
