Everything you need to know about the new season of ‘Big Bang Theory’
Another season of The Big Bang Theory is set to hit the airwaves soon, and we’ve got the scoop on what to expect from season nine.
In an interview with Glamour, Mayim Bialik, who plays nerdy-scientist Amy of the show, spilled the deets on what we’ll see when the season premieres September 21st.
Bialik says that this season picks up right where we left off, with Amy about to end things with Sheldon (who we know is about to pop the question), and Leonard and Penny heading off to Vegas to tie the knot.
“We do kind of deal head on with the Penny and Leonard thing and with the Amy and Sheldon thing, but things are kind of unraveling slowly in terms of the information we’re getting about what’s happening with them,” she tells Glamour.
Apparently the whole gang is forced to be in the same room in the opening, which should bring a lot of the questions we all have left over from last season to a head.
On that epic Shamy breakup: Even through they’re headed for splitsville, Bialik suggests that we might have not seen the last of the couple. She acknowledges that Amy has always been the person that understands Sheldon the best, so their relationship, at least in some form, will keep going. Phew!
The Big Bang Theory, of course, isn’t just known for its addiction-worthy storyline — a few months ago showrunner Chuck Lorre announced that his foundation and Big Bang Bang Theory would be establishing a four million-dollar scholarship for low-income STEM students at UCLA. So incredible.
We can’t wait until the show comes back next month and all secrets are revealed!
