Please enjoy this video of the The Big Bang Theory cast dancing in a Backstreet Boys-themed flash mob
After years of performing flash mobs on their Warner Brothers stage, the cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory danced it out one last time. On February 13th, BBT star Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram to share several videos of the entire cast and crew (save for Johnny Galecki, who was sidelined with an ankle injury) performing their final “epic flash mob.” Donning hats emblazoned with the number 12—to mark the number of seasons The Big Bang Theory has been on the air—the cast and crew surprised the studio audience and the unsuspecting writers and producers with a spectacular dance to the Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life.”
It’s a sight to behold.
Revealing the song was chosen specifically as a “thank you” to fans, Cuoco credited her sister, Bri Cuoco, and friends Mandy Korpinen and Elizabeth Petrin, for choreographing the dance. She also thanked the crew for spending months rehearsing, as well as for listening to the actress “yap on and on about this endlessly.” As Big Bang Theory fans know, Cuoco’s led the cast and crew in a number of flash mobs over the years, including their viral dance to “Call Me Maybe” in 2012.
The stars of The Big Bang Theory, which is set to wrap after 12 seasons in May, have been vocal about their long-running sitcom coming to an end. The decision to end the series came last August, when Jim Parsons indicated he was ready to move on after more than a decade as Sheldon Cooper. However, while the series may be coming to an end, Warner Bros. celebrated the long-running series by dedicating Stage 25—where The Big Bang Theory films—to the show.
Here’s hoping the next sitcom to grace the stage also knows how to pull off an epic flash mob.
