Glorious BFFs We Just Found Out About: Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza
I’m pretty obsessed with famous BFFs. I LOVE when celebrities chat on Twitter or take Instas of themselves at their fun celebrity-only parties. It’s what I imagine high school would have been like if I had gotten to eavesdrop on the popular table ALL THE TIME w/o looking like a total creeper. I love when celebrities are BFFs and I SUPER love when I discover new celebrity BFFs.
Such is the case with discovering famous-times Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza are real-life besties. We all know Anna Kendrick with her crazy-range, busting out of her awesome pipes in Pitch Perfect and the upcoming Into the Woods, and getting her drama on in Up In The Air and 50/50. Then, of course, there’s Aubrey Plaza, who plays Parks and Rec‘s fan favorite April Ludgate and has recently been making her way into features with star turns in The To-Do List and Life After Beth (which Kendrick is also in).
It seems the world first learned of Annbrey (Or Plendrick? Kendaza? What SHOULD their celebrity couple name be?) when Plaza requested a naked picture of Kendrick on social media (“you’re bored, send naked pic.” was the direct Twitter quote. What ensued was Kendrick sending a picture of a naked dude and the two proceeding to quote saptastic love songs back and forth to each other.
Now, after starring together in Life After Beth, Plaza tells Nylon Magazine she hopes this is only the beginning of the two becoming a big-time Hollywood Twosome.
“Hopefully when I’m 70, Anna Kendrick and I will have our multicam sitcom, exactly like The Golden Girls. We’ll just be two fast-talking sexual ladies hitting on younger guys.”
Um, yes please, but instead of waiting 40-something years, how about you guys just do this right-this-second-now. With wigs and prosthetics and whatever! I’ll suspend my disbelief, I promise.
In the same issue, Kendrick has an awesome quote that’s basically the best-compliment-ever for her bestie Plaza:
“Aubrey has a wolflike quality onscreen. She’s gorgeous and majestic in repose, but mostly you’re hoping to see her tear something’s throat open.”
Now THAT is a compliment. A pretty good friend will tell you that you’re beautiful or she loves you or whatever but only a grade-A bestie will tell the world you remind her of a gorgeous and majestic wolf.
Nice work getting your friendship on, ladies! Now talk lots more on Twitter and let us all eavesdrop on your awesomeness!
