Beyoncé’s stylist made an entire collection of Barbies that are totally Queen Bey inspired, and we need them all
Sure, we’re grown ups, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be fully excited about a brand new collection of Barbies. Not just any Barbies though, Beyoncé-inspired Barbies. Because Beyoncé’s stylist Marni Senofonte collaborated with Barbie to create some absolutely gorgeous looks. We can’t decide what we want more: to have all the Barbies or to dress like all the Barbies. Probably both.
Senofonte is the badass mastermind behind Beyoncé’s iconic Lemonade and Formation World Tour looks. She has teamed up with Barbie to create a variety of one-of-a-kind looks for some truly diverse Barbies.
In an interview with InStyle, Senofonte explained that the inspiration for the designs came from the Barbie Fashionistas line. The line includes a huge range of dolls that come in four different body types — original, curvy, tall, and petite, as well as many different skin tones and hairstyles.
“When I saw all of these shapes and sizes — that alone was the inspiration," Senofonte told InStyle. "We have so many different sized women, and it’s like — especially the bigger women, they always feel like there’s nothing that fits them or makes them look cute. It was just so important to me with the Barbie collection to show a curvy woman or a shorter woman that it’s all possible.
And by it, she’s referring to a woman’s ability to feel confident in her fashion choices.
“I want a girl who is not necessarily small to say, ‘Okay, I could wear a crop top and I could wear jeans with big holes in it and fishnets underneath it and I am cute…everyone can have this,” she added. “Everyone can do it. And everyone in every size — we can all be cute. It’s not just for a certain size or a certain color.”
We absolutely love that sentiment. Check out more of the Barbies on the @BarbieStyle Instagram page.
