Beyoncé’s mom had the sweetest thing to say about Blue Ivy and the twins
The world waited patiently and we finally got what we needed: A picture of Beyoncé’s beautiful twin Bey-babies, Rumi and Sir Carter. Entertainment Tonight ran into Tina Knowles Lawson, Beyoncé’s mom, and Lawson confirmed the names of her newest grandkids. She also discussed how excited Blue Ivy is about being a big sis.
Rumi and Sir were born about a month ago. Though we were living off of rumors that the twins had arrived, we finally know the truth. Last week, Beyoncéherself took to Instagram to share a perfectly structured photo of the two new arrivals. The latest picture was reminiscent of her pregnancy announcement (also on Instagram) that was inspired by Yoruba goddess Oshun.
Beyoncé is glowing and we imagine Lawson is stoked to be a grandmother yet again.
With the birth of Rumi and Sir, Lawson is a grandmother for the third and fourth time.
As for Blue Ivy, Lawson confirmed that she’s already the best big sis.
"She's very proud and very excited. She's a good big sister, she really is," Lawson said.
Of course she is! Who wouldn’t want Blue Ivy, style icon, as a big sister?
These twins truly don’t know what they were born into.
Lawson is a terrific mother and grandmother. You can find her over on Instagram constantly supporting and loving on her daughters and their friends. We can imagine having the kind of love and support that Lawson gives her family is key to growing up as flawless as the Knowles sisters have.
Congratulations to the now even larger Knowles-Carter fam.
