Beyoncé stopped her Tidal X concert to urge people to vote and her speech is electrifying

In exactly eight days, the entire country will either have already voted or will be in the process of casting their votes for the next president of the United States. During her incredible Tidal X performance, Beyoncé gave a powerful speech urging people to vote. If anyone was on the fence about voting before her speech, we have a feeling they might change their minds.

Because when Beyoncé says vote, you vote.

The passionate speech went viral immediately following her Tidal X performance on October 15th (let’s be real, it went viral DURING her speech), but Queen Bey posted the video to Instagram yesterday to continue urging people to use their voices. Because “doing nothing right now is not an option.”

"The right to use our voice at the polling stations this Election Day is not a privilege that should be taken lightly," she captioned the video. "Throughout history, from the women’s suffrage movement to the Civil Rights Movement, this is a right that we had to fight to obtain. It was our power that put the first Black president into the White House, and it was our influence that changed the course of history. Exercising the right to vote is imperative to our democracy. Click the link in my bio for local voter information, and make sure your voice is heard at the polls on November 8th."

The link in her bio will take you directly to the Rock the Vote site. There you can find out your registration status, the location of your polling place, what you need to bring, and what you’ll find on your ballot. The more prepared you are to vote, the easier your time will be at the polling place.

Election Day is November 8th.
