Beyoncé came *so close* to actually breaking Twitter when she announced her pregnancy
Congratulations are in order for Beyoncé, who surprised everyone Lemonade-style by announcing she is pregnant…and this news then proceeded to break the Internet. Bey is pregnant with not one but *two* sure-to-be-talented babies with her husband Jay Z, and everyone is collectively losing their freaking minds about it.
The Carters made the official announcement via Béyonce’s Instagram saying
We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters
The photo already has over 4 MILLION likes. So yeah, you could say everyone is talking about it. And according to Twitter data, the world had been holding their collective breaths until this very moment of pure joy. And then the tweets poured in. A LOT of them.
Half a million Tweets about @Beyonce's surprise #twins announcement. It's been 45 minutes. (Spiked at 17k Tweets per min.) 🍼🍼

17,000 tweets a minute. That’s insane. These babies are famous before they even enter the world. And of course, with that many tweets about this announcement, there were bound to be some hilarious ones.

As if Béyonce hasn’t given the world enough happiness she’s now bringing two more talented and sure to be adorable children into the world. I mean, just look at her other kid.
Best wishes to Béyonce, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy! Thank you for all of the joy and happiness you bring to people who then decide to tweet a lot about it. Can’t wait to meet the new members of your family and watch the inevitable Twitter meltdown that will follow on that day.
