Beyoncé just launched a scholarship program for young women
Here we were thinking Beyoncé couldn’t possibly do anything to make us more enamored with her, but she just launched a “Formation Scholars” Scholarship program for creative young women pursuing their education with focus and force. This program marks the one-year anniversary of Lemonade (which FYI we have not stopped listening to). Yup, we are in AWE of Bey.
According to the statement on her website, the scholarship program, “aims to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.” The awards are available for the 2017/2018 academic year, offered to students studying “creative arts, music, literature, or African-American studies.” This sounds like an incredible opportunity.

The participating schools are Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design, and Spelman College. If you attend one of those, be sure to check out more info!
Thanks, Bey! Music aside, we think this just may be your most empowering move yet.
via giphyWe love that Beyoncé is such an incredible advocate for women, and we can’t wait to see the positive outcomes that will surely arise from these scholarships.

Seriously, give it up for QUEEN BEY.

Despite having everything in the world, she’s always looking out for other people and figuring out how to use her public platform to improve the lives of others. Who runs the world? GIRLS. Quite literally.
Let’s go celebrate by listening to Lemonade, because it’s time for that midday dance party.
