Beyoncé is teasing new Ivy Park merch, and Twitter already has their wallets out
Among her many, many accomplishments (from the entire new Lion King soundtrack to her award-winning promotion of LGBTQ equality), Beyoncé is a fierce businesswoman and style icon. As the only black women to exercise 100 percent ownership of an athleisure brand, the Ivy Park owner-visionary will soon expand her brand’s vision with new launches set to drop in 2020.
Teasing the Ivy Park x Adidas collaboration on her Instagram Monday morning, Bey revealed photos of herself wearing Ivy Park jewelry, maroon nails painted with the recognizable Adidas stripes, and even a pair of sneakers in an orange-and-maroon colorway that we’re guessing are part of the new launch.
These sneaks, with the Ivy Park logo stamped on both the oversized tongue and foxing stripe, flaunt the classic Adidas Superstar stripes on the side. But with a chunky tan sole and interesting lacing detail woven around the outside of the shoe, this rendition of the old favorite definitely has that subtle yet genius Ivy Park flair.
The Ivy Park x Adidas collaboration was announced in April, but this tease is the first we’ve seen of any of the items slated to be included in the launch.
As Beyoncé told Elle Magazine on December 9th, the line will also include plenty of gender-neutral pieces that fit all kinds of lifestyles and identities.
“I love experimenting with fashion, mixing high and low, sportswear with couture, even masculine and feminine," Bey said, adding that this latest line incorporates a lot of her personal style. "I appreciate the beauty of gender-neutral clothing and breaking the so-called fashion rules.
Beyoncé also noted, “This new line is fun and lends itself to creativity, the ultimate power.”
Obviously, since anything Beyoncé does turns to gold, the Twitterverse is ready to open its wallets and snatch up all the trendy items.
