Beyoncé’s expertly color-blocked outfit looks almost exactly like something she wore last year
We knew Beyoncé had a thing for keeping hot sauce in her bag, but we didn’t realize she was into that ketchup-mustard life, too.
On Friday, Queen Bey stepped out in New York City wearing a somewhat risky (but expertly styled) color combo: mustard yellow and fire-engine red. As always, Beyoncé totally rocked the color-blocked ensemble — and turned heads in true Queen Bey style.
In styling her outfit, she started with a knitted red pencil skirt and golden yellow sweater-sleeves (yes, just the sleeves!) — both designed by Calvin Klein. Then, to keep focus on those details, she paired her skirt-sleeve combo with a plain white V-neck tee, ‘70s-inspired drop earrings, and a Diane von Furstenberg cross-body purse.
On Instagram, Beyoncé has clearly been feelin’ herself. Since giving birth to twins Rumi and Sir back in June 2017, she’s taken her Insta-feed in a whole new direction. Recently, she’s been posting #OOTD shots in sets of three. Often, these photos and videos are set to music and show her latest look from different angles.
When sharing her Calvin Klein look, things were no different. The “Formation” singer posted a triad of collages showing off her color-blocked attire:
This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has knocked this McDonald’s-esque color combo out of the park. She rocked a very similar look last September, and accessorized with simple sunnies and floral platform sandals.
To show you, we skimmed her Insta (like true Insta-creepers) to dig up the evidence. Pictured below, the former Destiny’s Child front woman is wearing the fashion-forward outfit and, per usual, she looks like a fashion goddess.
Leave it to Beyoncé to take a fashion risk that ended up as a total fashion win.
