Beyoncé to join the next ‘Avengers’? Oh, pretty please!

Let’s just say this up front: In our eyes, Beyoncé is already a superhero. But now (Hollywood gods willing) she might actually become an Avenger on the big screen. Rumor has it, Marvel is very interested in including her in Avengers: Infinity War, and while that’s a crazy idea on the one hand, it’s actually an amazing idea on the other. Bey could probably lift Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir, no problem. She is worthy.

This whole rumor comes by way of an apparent Disney executive, who told The Daily Star that, “[Disney and Marvel] would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalog of comic book characters.”

So what character might she play? The Daily Star suggests that she could take up Boom-Boom, who can create energy bombs; Blink, who can teleport; or Tigra, who’s got speed, strength, and claws. Those first two characters are actually part of the X-Men, so for the longest time they’ve been a no-go for Disney’s Marvel movies since those characters belong to Fox. But now, seeing as how Spider-Man is joining the Avengers, maybe it’s time to bring in some other long-lost friends, too?

Or, instead of an existing Marvel character, Beyoncé could simply just be Beyoncé, because we all want to be Beyoncé. Then there could just be rows and rows of Beyoncé action figures at Target. That works for us, too.
