Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, and Goldie Hawn will have a First Wives Club reunion in a new movie, and Twitter is screaming

First Wives Club fans, break out your white skirt suits. Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, and Goldie Hawn are set to reunite onscreen for the upcoming holiday comedy Family Jewels. No, it’s not a sequel, a reboot, or a revival of the 1996 rom-com. But it is, in part, inspired by the legendary chemistry between the three lead actresses.

The new film’s producers said that Family Jewels is, in part, a direct result of Midler, Keaton, and Hawn’s legendary ensemble performance in The First Wives Club. In a February 20th statement, Family Jewels producer David Fischer noted, “the chemistry of Diane, Bette and Goldie is unmatched and irresistible, and I’m thrilled to help reunite them onscreen for generations of fans.”

According to the few plot details that have been released about Family Jewels, the power-trio will be contending with one disappointing man. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Midler, Keaton, and Hawn “will play three women forced to spend the Christmas holidays together, along with their kids and grandkids, after the man they were all once married to drops dead in a New York City department store.” As we’re sure you remember, The First Wives Club saw the three women exacting revenge on their respective, horrible ex-husbands. (They also wrapped up a pre-Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker and a post-Jessie Spano Elizabeth Berkley in their plans.)

First Wives Club-worthy hijinks will hopefully ensue, but honestly, we could watch the three women recite the phone book, if those still exist, and be completely riveted.

And fans are coming out in full force in response First Wives Club reunion announcement.

Production for Family Jewels will kick off later this year, if all goes according to plan, which gives us plenty of time to rewatch TFWC about a million times. And, quite possibly, model our own, elaborate revenge plot against our own, horrible exes. (Kidding. Ish.)
