10 of the best signs from the “Trump, show us your taxes!” Tax Day march

It may be a sign of the times, but Americans’ protest art is on point! Demonstrators at January’s Women’s March crushed it. So did last month’s Day Without a Woman protestors. But yesterday’s Tax Day march signs took it up a notch.

From Chicago to Los Angeles to New York to Washington, D.C., protestors flooded streets, squares, and city halls nationwide on Saturday, donning crafty costumes and cradling inflatable chickens (the unofficial mascot of the march) — all in protest of President Donald Trump’s sketchy taxpaying history.

Calling for transparency, taxpayers pissed at Trump’s refusal to disclose his tax returns took up markers, paints, and cardboard to point out the shadiness of Trump’s break in 40-year presidential precedence, putting pressure on POTUS to release his federal income tax returns on the very day Americans are required to submit their own for review: April 15th. false

Trump may be withholding his tax information, but he never holds back his feelings. Today, he took to Twitter to poo-poo the protests, calling the thousands-deep demonstrations in 150+ cities across the country “small” and suggesting protestors were “paid” to take part. false
