Ben & Jerry’s just announced a new, delicious flavor — of BEER!
Last year, Ben & Jerry’s partnered with New Belgium Brewing company and released a Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale inspired by one of their best ice cream flavors. At the time, we thought that couldn’t be topped — that is, until now. They’ve recently decided to try their hand again at the beer brewing game, and their new flavor is even dreamier than the last. What is it? It’s a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale, and if that doesn’t sound delicious, we don’t know what does.
Even better than the flavor is the fact that Ben & Jerry’s will be donating a portion of the proceeds from all purchases of this very special (and delicious) beer to a very good cause. This year, just like last, they’ve chosen Protect Our Winters (or POW), which is a non-profit that is firmly dedicated to raising awareness about the current state of our climate and the very real threat of climate change. They think this year is even more important, with the upcoming election and changing administration.
Jay Curley, Senior Global Marketing Manager of Ben & Jerry’s, said in a press release, “This new beer is delicious and unique and the issue of climate change is still increasingly urgent.”
The beer will be available at stores nationwide this fall, and we’ll definitely be trying it ASAP. What better way to help save the planet than by drinking an ice cold, ice cream-inspired beer? Honestly, we can’t think of one.
