Ben & Jerry’s pumpkin cheesecake ice-cream is coming, because fall is the best
I am wearing leggings and a long blouse-dress thing right now. Why does that matter to you? Because it’s fall, you guys! And you know what that means… PUMPKIN EVERYTHING. Every year, companies roll out new autumn-inspired flavored goodies and treats — we’ve already heard about the new M&M fall flavors, pumpkin spice Peeps, and pumpkin spice Wheaties. And now, Ben & Jerry’s is joining the pumpkin spice bandwagon by bringing back their beloved pumpkin cheesecake ice-cream.
Made with REAL pumpkin, the ice-cream is the stuff of a fall cheesecake lover’s dream —complete with a graham cracker swirl. And nothing makes me happier than the phrase, “graham cracker swirl.” According to its website, Ben & Jerry’s has been selling out of Pumpkin Cheesecake since 2007 when our world was first blessed with the delicious seasonal flavor.
We can thank Eric Fredette, “Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Guru,” according to Refinery29, for the innovative and delicious flavor. He describes it so perfectly, claiming that “The Pumpkin Cheesecake flavor is a perfect comfort food. It’s like a warm blanket on a cool autumn day, with falling leaves and the crisp smell of fall.” Sounds like perfection to us.
This isn’t the first time Ben & Jerry’s has rocked our freezer. The ice-cream company is known for its epic flavors, especially flavors that contribute to important causes. Like “Save Our Swirled,” the ice-cream flavor that fought for climate control. Or when Ben & Jerry’s re-named their cookie dough flavor to “I Dough, I Dough” to celebrate the Supreme Court’s ruling on gay marriage this year. Keep the awesome flavors coming, Ben & Jerry’s!
Though we do not have an official release date yet, we can confirm that YES, we have drooled on our keyboard.
