Your favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor may now be available in lip balm form, yes, REALLY

As much as we wish we could eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and achieve the pinnacle of health, we cannot. What we can do 24/7 is keep our lips moisturized — and that is where Ben & Jerry’s lip balms come into play.

We’re hearing your gasps because we were in the same boat, but rest assured this is the delicious, calorie-free truth (the latter is unless you like, ingest it, but please don’t).

The players? Strawberry Kiwi Swirl Sorbet, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Mint Chocolate Cookie. Bonus with the latter: it’s helpful during Girl Scout cookie season.

The balms are made from organically derived oils, including palm, olive, and hemp seed. That’s pretty impressively natural for a lip product made to taste like freaking ice cream. Oh, and the sweetening agent is Stevia, so if you accidentally eat it, no real sugar!

PopSugarreviewed each lip balm individually, and here’s their general breakdown:

  • Mint Chocolate Cookie: More minty than chocolatey (sob), but very “cooling” and sweeter than other mint lip treatments.
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: Unexpected albeit welcomed saltiness and slightly addictive quality (so basically, like any Ben & Jerry’s ever).
  • Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Lacking in chocolateness (double sob!), but makes up for it in the sweetness.
  • Strawberry Kiwi Swirl Sorbet: Realistic in terms of similarity to the ice cream flavor, with a lemon essential oil for tartness.

The lip balm retails for $4, and are available in scoop shops, at the brand’s gift shop in Waterbury, Vermont, and also over the phone, via the contact info here.

Excuse us while we figure out how we can slyly work in a trip to a scoop shop today. And not look like we just scheduled our whole weekend around ice-cream-flavored lip balm…
