Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had dinner together, giving us a very specific kind of #RELATIONSHIP GOAL

Ever since we heard that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have called it quits after a decade of marriage, we’ve admittedly been kinda bummed. But it’s all going to be OKAY.

We just heard from People magazine that they grabbed a casual dinner together in Santa Monica, so it looks like they’re remaining on good terms throughout this transitional time.

In fact, Garner said on The Today Show recently that she and Affleck have a “modern family,” and that they’re “great friends.” This is of course the best possible outcome of a separation or divorce, and we’re super impressed with the maturity and grace with which they’re handling what must be a super difficult time.

By the looks of things, the two will continue to co-parent their kids and spend quality time together as a family, even if they’re no longer technically a romantic couple.

People notes that Garner has said she and Affleck put "children first," and that "parenting is about time. "You can't buy parenting. No matter what, you have to actually get down on the floor and spend some time together."

Usually when we talk about #relationshipgoals we’re talking about a couple who are actually together — but Affleck and Garner are definitely giving the term new, super important meaning.

Seriously, good for you guys!
