Ben Affleck’s daughter thinks Batman is fine, but she would have preferred he be in a “Harry Potter” movie

Even though Ben Affleck has a starring role as Batman in Zack Synder’s upcoming Batman v Superman movie, his 10-year-old daughter, Violet’s, reaction is a little lackluster. In fact, she would much prefer he star in a different franchise—one of the magical variety.

In an interview with E! News, Ben admitted, “I think the girls are into it but my oldest daughter is a super Harry Potter nut, so she’s wanted me to be in that. I told her, I didn’t have the option to be in a Harry Potter movie—this is what I got.”

Despite their dad starring in one of the most buzzworthy films of the year, it sounds like Violet and her little sister Seraphina might get more of a kick out of Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman, both in Batman V Superman and her upcoming standalone film.

“She’s a cool role model for girls,” Ben said of the female superhero. “I didn’t want to make a movie where the guys were the heroes and the heroes and the women were the damsels in distress. Wonder Woman comes in and was more heroic than the both of us.”

Unfortunately for the Affleck clan, and, really, all of us, we have to wait till 2017 to see Wonder Woman, so in the meantime… maybe they’ll agree to go watch their dad don the famous cape and suit as long as Gadot gets some serious screentime.

And hey, maybe Ben’s 4-year-old son Samuel can work on spreading some enthusiasm to his sisters.
