OMG this beloved, long lost “Game of Thrones” character has been spotted on set
Even with the premiere of awesome new HBO dramas like Westworld, we’re still eagerly awaiting the new season of our favorite show Game of Thrones. As we know, Season 7 of Game of Thrones has been delayed until Summer 2017, much to our dismay. But we do know that they have started filming Season 7. We’ve been eagerly watching for any clues to what’s coming in the next season. Warning, spoilers ahead. Just recently, a number of Game of Thrones actors were spotted filming in Spain, and we can’t believe who was spotted with some of our favorites.
Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, was spotted filming for Season 7 along with Tyrion and Davos.
Yeah, that’s right. According to Watchers on the Wall, Gendry was spotted filming the next season of Game of Thrones in Muriola Beach, an area of the Basque Country in Spain. We have so many questions. The last time we saw Gendry was in Season 3. He was sailing away from Dragonstone in a rowboat. Gendry is one of King Robert Baratheon’s bastard sons, and for that reason, Stannis Baratheon wanted Gendry for his “king’s blood.” With the help of Sir Davos, Gendry fled before Melisandre could sacrifice him, and we haven’t seen Gendry since.
But we had always hoped that Gendry would return, and we’re curious to see where his storyline will go.
Gendry was spotted filming with Davos and Tyrion in what Watchers on the Wall suggests is Dragonstone. Very interesting. Gendry sailed away from Dragonstone the last time we saw him, so we wonder what brought him back. If Davos from Jon Snow’s camp and Tyrion from Daenerys’ camp are meeting, perhaps Gendry has a part to play in that. Did Gendry make it to King’s Landing and return? Did he seek out Davos, one of the few men who has shown him kindness? Will Gendry and Arya ever reunite?
