Bella Hadid says she’s criticized for her fluctuating weight, and that’s unfair
It’s common knowledge at this point that diversity in body shape isn’t what the modeling industry is exactly known for. But with that said, many models who are naturally thin also face scrutiny and body-shaming. Recently, according to People, there was a ton of public criticism after Hadid lost weight for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The piece also delved into the pressures that come with being a top model for brands like Calvin Klein and DKNY. This comes two weeks after the Instagram photo her makeup artist took went viral for the wrong reason (users claimed she looked too thin).
"I worked out so hard and everybody is like, 'Oh, she looks so skinny blah, blah, blah," Hadid starts.
At just 20-years-old, Hadid says, like most of us, her weight fluctuates and we can so relate. “I really didn’t mean to [lose weight]. Like I want boobs. I want my ass back. But it’s not my fault. My weight fluctuates and so does everybody’s and I think that if people are gonna judge, that’s the worst you can possibly do because everybody is different.”[/quote]

She goes on to talk about insecurities and while we all have them, it’s easy to forget a beautiful, talented model might have some of the same. Remember: we are ALL human.
"I think every single person in the world has insecurities. It's crazy because I think that when other people look at all of the VS models or all of the girls who are walking, they're like, 'They're not human. They don't have any insecurities.' But I think every single girl who's going to be walking probably has an insecurity." Hers is just that "I wish my ass was bigger."
Regardless, Hadid is dedicated to fitness and staying healthy no matter the weight and that’s something we can definitely get behind.
"I think that if you just stick to something you can really achieve so much. I've been eating hard protein every day, and working out for three hours every day. It's crazy but I think that you know if you set your mind to something I think you can succeed."
