Behold! Girl Scouts’ newest cookie flavor!

The Girl Scouts are celebrating 100 years of selling cookies (and maybe National S’Mores Day, which happened to be yesterday) by announcing a NEW cookie for their 2017 roster.  Hooray!

Introducing…ahem, ahem. Drum roll, pretty please.

The NEW Girl Scout S’mores cookies!

A crispy, crunchy, graham cookie, dipped not once, but twice in “créme” icing, and then coated in chocolate! That’s right, now you can enjoy the delicious taste of s’mores without the camping!

But wait for it…there’s more good news…

The Girl Scouts are not just releasing one type of s’more cookie. Oh no. They’re giving us TWO!

A graham sammie style cookie, with a yummy chocolate, marshamallow-ey middle!

The CEO (interim) of Girl Scouts of the USA, Sylvia Acevedo, stated:

“The new Girl Scout S’mores cookies capture the adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, and feeling of community that are synonymous with Girl Scouts. As we approach the 100th anniversary of the first known sale of cookies by Girl Scouts, it only seems natural to celebrate it with a new cookie flavor that ties to our heritage and captures the adventurous, take-charge, and civic-minded spirit of our girls.”

Hmmmm, should we get a box of Girl Scout S’mores or Girl Scout S’mores?

Uh, that’s an easy decision, get both!  Proceeds from cookie sales help your local Girl Scouts, so you can support a good cause and get your delicious on.

And, as reported by Real Simple,”Both cookies are kosher, and are free of artificial colors, partially hydrogenated oils, and trans fats.”  Like you needed anymore convincing.

The Girl Scout S’mores will only be carried in certain markets starting January, so fingers crossed for one near you.
