A Beginner’s Guide to Love Spells
In a recent interview with Cosmo, Katy Perry revealed a mystical little secret when it comes to romance. “I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male,” she confessed. It turns out, many people believe the rose quartz stone has energetic powers to attract love. Hey, it’s worth a try.
Since I love Katy Perry, and I, for the most part, love LOVE, I decided to investigate some other magical props and spells for attracting love. Here are some basic spells for your love life, courtesy of the Internet. Have fun!
The Abundance Moon Spell
You will need:
-Glass bowl
-Small round mirror
-Spring water
-3 white floating candles
-White flowers
-Tumbled moonstones
Special note: This is a very broad love spell; it’s more focused on good, loving vibes, rather than coaxing someone in particular to love you.
Directions:
Step one: Use your glass bowl and place your mirror in the bottom of the bowl (it must fit within). Add the spring water, and place the three floating candles in the bowl.
Step two: Surround your centerpiece with white flowers and moonstones. Look into the mirror.
Step three: Call upon your divinities: the gods of Abundance and the moon.
Step four: Hold your hands over the bowl and chant this:
“As the Moon controls the tides of the sea, so its rhythm rules our living lives. Through cycles that are ever changing, first waxing and then waning, in different phases, yet the same. What was once poor, lacking and dissolute, now bring forth abundance for (insert name of the desired person). My lady of the moon (insert name of the desired person), My lord of abundance (insert name of the desired person), please bring to (insert name of the desired person) happiness and abundance.”

The Energy Love Spell
You will need:
-1 red (cinnamon is preferable) candle
-1 ring
Special note: This particular spell is not meant to manipulate a certain person, but rather to attract new love. You should think about the kind of person you’d want to attract, but don’t direct this spell at someone you specifically know.
Directions:
Step one: In a quiet room where you won’t be disturbed, lay out your two tools.
Step two: Hold the red candle in your dominant hand, and visualize what you want from a lover. Tense your arm muscles to create energy, and then relax your arm so that the energy is able to transfer into the candle.
Step three: Light the candle, and breathe in the rich aroma; feel the energy fill you.
Step four: Visualize the energy.
Step five: Once you feel a connection between you and the energy, repeat this chant twice:
“Burning candle bring to me the enduring love I seek.” Then describe your ideal partner.
Step six: Picture this new person as though they are present. Imagine them whispering really nice things to you and try to really feel their presence.
Step seven: Pick up the ring (or another piece of jewelry) in one hand and hold the candle with your other hand.
Step eight: Really commit to the energy from the candle, and chant:
“Into this ring I pour this energy. In doing so I call to be this man (or woman) I need with me.”
Step nine: Spend a little while (a few minutes or so) letting the energy transfer from the candle to you, and then into the ring. Place the ring on your finger, and let magic do the rest!

The Seduction Spell:
You will need:
-A red candle
-A piece of red or pink paper
-Red ink pen
Directions:
Step one: Light the red candle.
Step two: On red or pink paper, write your full name and under your name, right the name of the person you are interested in, as well as their birthday and your birthday.
Step three: Draw a heart around this information, and then write the names and birthdays on top of the heart. Do this three times. It will look like scribble-art, but that’s okay.
Step four: Fold the paper and burn it with your candle. As it burns, chant:
“Light the flame bright, the fire ‘red’ is the color of desire.”
Repeat three times, for nine consecutive nights.

You will need:
-1 pomegranate
-your energy
-sun energy
-moon energy
Special note: This spell is designed to help you form a deeper connection with your partner. It is said to work 99.99% of the time.
Directions:
Step one: Balance your pomegranate in one hand and begin to transfer your energy into it. You will notice that you will start to feel tired. This is totally normal!
Step two: Place the pomegranate into the sunlight to absorb energy, and then wait until dark to place it outside to absorb the moon’s energy.
Step three: On a waxing crescent moon, eat two seeds, and have your lover eat one so you two can rekindle your relationship.

Natural Love Potion:
You will need:
-2 teaspoons of dried jasmine flowers
-1 tablespoon of dried rose petals
-Vanilla pod split, or ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
-1-2 cinnamon sticks
-1 cup of fresh water
-A pot or sauce pan
-A strainer
Directions:
Step one: Pour 1 cup of water in a saucepan, set to medium. Add your jasmine flowers, dried rose petals, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir, and let simmer for about five minutes.
Step two: Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain, like tea. Allow your mixture to cool, and then bottle it for later.
Step three: Add sparkling water to your potion, and serve it chilled to your significant other in the works.
